Edinburgh Airport Consultation Event

Following on from the meeting last year, I invited the Edinburgh Airport Consultation Team back to Fife to share their proposed plans and to hear what the public had to say about it.

The meeting was held in the City Chambers in Dunfermline, and there was a very good turn out with some excellent questions from members of the various communities who could be impacted by these changes.

I think my overall impression is that it is unclear what the real reason for the change is – and also whether or not the airport has fully exhausted all the routes open to it to use what’s already within its current operating model.

Given that areas such in South West Fife are likely to be impacted if you’ve not yet had your say then see the link below to the consultation.  If you missed the Dunfermline event, I have also been advised that there will be a further meeting in Dalgety Bay organised by the Community Council on 3 April.   Don’t have the timings or venue as yet but details will be published shortly.
